A recognized expert in the audio publishing industry, Michele began her audiobook career as Assistant Managing Director for L.A. Theatre Works, became Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the British Broadcasting Corporation's audiobooks division, and is Executive Director of the Audio Publishers Association (after serving on the board for over a decade). As a consultant for PR, Sales, Marketing, and Business Development services, she works with a long list of clients and is Publisher of both AudioFile Magazine and MMB Media, LLC. She has expanded into the world of podcasts over the past several years and is currently Executive Producer of the Stories of Impact podcast and Executive Director of The Podcast Academy. Michele uses her training in theater when a speaker at conferences, workshops, and events (both live and virtual). Michele enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter whenever she can, and winning Fitbit step contests.
Mike has been a business leader in finance and operations for over 20 years. After passing the CPA exam he began his career in the corporate office of the precious metals division of Cookson America in the late ’80s. This was where Mike was first exposed to acquisitions & divestitures as well as working in operations, identifying synergies, and implementing integration plans in corporations. At Cookson, he worked his way through division controllerships to become director of financial reporting opportunities. Upon leaving Cookson, Mike served as CFO for several medium-sized entities. These included publicly traded, foreign-owned, and private-equity-backed organizations where he spearheaded several acquisitions and mergers. Mike joined a division of the British Broadcasting Corporation as director of Finance & Operations and later was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, in charge of the day-to-day operations of BBC Audiobooks America. He is currently President of MMB Media, LLC. A married father of three, Mike enjoys a round of golf when he can squeeze it in.
